Apothecia: 0.5-1.5 mm in diameter with conspicuous membranaceous margin, hymenium red
Asci: cylindric, (150-)200-300 x 16-22 µm, 8-spored, spores uniseriate
Ascospores: slighly subglobose, 14-15(-16) x 13-14.5 µm, ornamentation consisting of isolated, rounded warts c. 1 µm in diameter and up to 1 µm high, sometimes warts confluent forming short ridges, with one large droplet
Host: Phascum curvicolle
Infectious structures: infects the rhizoids
Habitat: on soil with pioneer mosses, at warm, sun-exposed sites
Distribution: very rare in Germany (HE, ST, TH)
