Apothecia: about 1 mm in diameter with conspicuous membranaceous margin
Asci: 8-spored, spores uniseriate
Ascospores: subglobose, 15-17 x 12-15 µm, ornamentation consisting of ridges (0.5-)0.7-1 µm wide, forming an areolate reticulum with (3-)4-6(-7) meshes/diameter
Host: Barbula convoluta
Infectious structures: infection on rhizoids, appressoria 15-20 x 25-30 µm, densely covered by several layers of more or less isodiametric fungal cells
Distribution: Sweden
Note: So far, only known from the islands of Gotland and Öland.
