Apothecia: 0.7-1.0(1.5) mm broad, shallow cupulate to turbinate, with a membranaceous, fringed margin, hymenium orange
Asci: 235-280 x 16-23 µm, 8-spored, with spores uniseriate
Ascospores: globose to slightly subglobose, (12)13-14(15) µm in diameter or 13-14 x 12-13 µm, ornamentation consisting of curved ridges 0.3-0.7 (-1.0) µm broad forming an alveolate reticulum of the Seaveri-type with 8-12 meshes per diameter
Host: Ditrichum pusillum
Infection: on rhizoids, inducing spherical galls
Habitat: on soil, roadsides, gravel banks
Distribution: Norway, Svalbard, Switzerland
Note: Benkert & al. (1991) suspected Pohlia filum as host but new studies identified Ditrichum pusillum (Eckstein et al. 2022).
