Apothecia: 2-3(-5) mm in diameter, with prominent, often cleft membranaceous margin
Asci: 150-180 x 9-14 µm, mostly 4-spored (by aborting the lower four of the primarily 8 spores in the ascus) but also 5-,6-,7- or 8-spored, spores uniseriate
Ascospores: ellipsoid (13-)14-17(-18) x (8-)8.5-10 µm, Ornamentation consisting of isolated warts
Hosts: Tetraplodon mnioides, rarely Tetraplodon angustatus
Infectious structures: infects the rhizoids and leaf cells
Habitat: in cushions of Tetraplodon spp., at arctic/alpine sites
Distribution: extremely rare in Germany (TH), Austria, Finland, Norway, Russia
