Apothecia: 0.8-1.5 mm in diameter without a membranaceous margin, margin somewhat pubescent, hymenium plane or convex, orange
Asci: 4-spored, spores uni- to biseriate
Ascospores: narrowly ellipsoid-subfusiform,(22-)26-32(-40) x (9-)10-12(-15) µm, smooth, mostly with three oil droplets, one large flanked by two smaller ones
Host: Phascum cuspidatum
Infectious structures: infects rhizoids, stems and leafs
Habitat: in open habitats on disturbed soil with pioneer bryophytes, sometimes growing directly on shoots of the host moss Phascum cuspidatum
Distribution: Czech Republic, Germany (common, BW, BB, MV, RP, SN, ST, TH), Greece, Hungary, The Netherlands, Slovakia (Janošík unpublished)
