Apothecia: up to 1 mm in diameter, with conspicuous membranaceous margin, hymenium pink to reddish
Asci: cylindric, 200-250 x 13-18 µm, 8-spored, spores uniseriate rarely biseriate
Ascospores: broadly ellipsoid to ovoid, (13-)14-16(-17) x (9-)10-11(-12) µm, ornamentation consisting of dense, irregular ridges forming an irregular reticulum, one oil droplet of 7-10 µm in diameter
Hosts: Didymodon vinealis
Infectious structures: infects the rhizoids, induces galls of 30-50 µm in diameter
Habitat: on soil with pioneer mosses
Distribution: Canary Islands
