Apothecia: 1-2 mm in diameter (Caillet & Moyne 1987a); 0.5-0.7 mm in diameter (Kristiansen 2007)
Asci: 160-180 x 18-24 µm, 8-spored, spores uni- or biseriate
Ascospores: fusiform, 31-37 x 9.5-11.5 µm (Caillet & Moyne 1987), (35-)38-45 x 10-12 µm (Kristiansen 2007), ornamentation consisting of dense, fine warts, with two large and several small oil droplets
Host: Ephemerum serratum (Kristiansen 2007)
Habitat: on loamy to marly soil, associated bryophytes Fissidens bryoides, Weissia controversa, Phascum cuspidatum, Entosthodon fascicularis (Caillet & Moyne 1987); on damp soil in Alnus glutinosa swamp-forests (Kristiansen 2007)
Distribution: France, Slovakia (Janošík unpublished), Sweden, Switzerland
Notes: The swedish find has slightly larger spores and occured in a different habitat than the french finds. It possibly represents a new taxon (Kristiansen 2007).
