 | Apothecia: 0.6 - 2 mm in diameter, prominent fringed margin, hymenium orange, slightly convex, outside concolorous or more brownish Asci: cylindric, 280-310 x 19-21 µm, 8-spored, spores uniseriate
 Ascospores:  broadly ellipsoid, 16.5-19 x 12.6-14.2 µm, ornamentation consisting of isolated or partly confluent warts of irregular shape and size, 0.4-1.2 µm broad, 0.2-0.5 µm high, spores with one large, central droplet
 Host: Bryum spec.
 Habitat: on dung and manured soil
 Distribution: Norway
 Notes: Schumacher (1992) reported Splachnum vasculosum as host of O. heterosculpturata since the moss was abundant in his collection. Reexamination of the type specimen by Benkert (Benkert & Kristiansen 2008) revealed Bryum as true host.
