Apothecia: to 1.5 mm in diameter, without membranaceous margin, hymenium orange
Asci: 200 x 14-20 µm, 8-spored, spores uni- sometimes biseriate
Ascospores: ellipsoid, 18-22 x 9-11 µm, ornamentation consisting of isolated warts 0.5-1 µm broad and less than 0.5 µm high, spores mostly with 2 oil droplets
Host: Marchantia polymorpha
Infectious structures: infects the rhizoids and the gemmea
Habitat: apothecia solitary or in groups of 2-4 on the thallus of Marchantia polymorpha, in shaded and moist habitats, in plant pots, so far mostly found in man made habitats such as gardens, road sides
Distribution: Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germanxy (rare, BE, BW, MV, ST), Hungary, Japan, The Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, U.S.A.
